Ivy-League educated lawyer Jason Bohn is expected to turn himself in after being accused of murdering his girlfriend in her Astoria apartment, said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly on Friday.

According to Kelly, an attorney for the 33-year-old lawyer had contacted the Queens DA’s office but left no indication on where or when he would present himself, reports DNAinfo.com.

Bohn’s 27-year-old girlfriend, Danielle Thomas, a financial analyst at Weight Watchers, was found dead Tuesday night after being beaten strangled to death. Her body was found packed on ice in the bath tub at the 28-25 33rd St. apartment.

Bohn, a contract attorney who graduated from Columbia University as an undergraduate and received his law degree from University of Florida, previously had beaten Thomas in the face and body on June 7, causing her to request a restraining order from the 114th Precinct. During her visit, he allegedly called her and yelled, “It’s war! I’ll dedicate my life to hunting you down like a dog in the streets. I am going to make your life impossible,” reported the New York Post.

Neighbors at the 33rd St. apartment also told cops that they would hear “screaming and crying” constantly as Bohn beat Thomas.

CBS New York reported that the building’s super said tenants heard Thomas screaming, “He’s kill[ing] me. Somebody help me,” on Tuesday night, the night of her death.

It was also reported that Thomas recently found shelter at a battered women’s home, though for an unknown reason, she returned to the apartment on Tuesday.

Gothamist points out that Bohn had a rough childhood, and he once posted a story on the Jewish Cild Care Association’s website explaining his history with an abusive father and negligent mother:

“While I am originally from “Da Bronx”, I now live in Riverdale. My father was addicted to drugs and physically abusive. My mother was addicted to success and eventually abandoned me for a new life and family. I was thirteen years of age, depressed and extremely angry when I went to live at the Pleasantville Cottage School in Westchester County. Upon my arrival to Cottage 8, I was sincerely determined to do whatever it took to get kicked out. I was physically violent against fellow cottage members and disobedient to concerned staff members such as Andre and Clarence. I also went AWOL every other week to escape to the city. Retrospectively I can honestly say that I didn’t give a &%#@ about much. In reality, I was suicidal.”

AllMediaNY will continue to follow the story as more information becomes available on Bohn’s whereabouts.
