President Barak Obama is arriving in New York City at 2 p.m. today for a campaign fundraising event at the West Village home of Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker. Expect gridlocks during his visit.
He will first helicopter to Lower Manhattan and land at the Wall St. Heliport at 2 p.m. and visit Ground Zero. This first stop will stop traffic from lower Manhattan to 14th St.
The PATH will also be closed at the World Trade Center station from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Instead, take the A,C,E subway to Penn Station or the R line to the 33rd St. PATH.
He will then head from the WTC to Parker’s home, arriving at 5:15 p.m. Some roads around that area will be frozen and buses will be rerouted.
Parker’s $40,000 per plate fundraiser is not the only one President Obama will attend this evening. He will head from Parker’s home to the Plaza Hotel.
Obama will leave the city at around 8 p.m.
