Here are this week’s power rankings:

(1) Alabama Crimson Tide (Previous Rank: 1); Record: 8-0 (5-0)

BCS Ranking: 1; Coaches Poll: 1; AP Poll: 1; Last Week: Won vs. Tennessee 45-10

The score was 35-0 at the half and HC Nick Saban says you should have kept watching all the way to the bitter end or else next time give up your couch to someone who will.

Coming Up: 11/2: Idle; 11/9: vs. #8 LSU

(2) Florida State Seminoles (Previous Rank: 2); Record: 7-0 (5-0)

BCS Ranking: 3; Coaches Poll: 3; AP Poll: 3; Last Week: Won vs. North Carolina State 49-17

With a 42-0 lead at the half it was almost as if the Seminoles were trying to outplay Alabama in some sort of (simultaneous) mythical battle which could become real in January.

Coming Up: 11/2: vs. #7 Miami; 11/9: @ Wake Forest

(3) Oregon Ducks (Previous Rank: 3); Record: 8-0 (5-0)

BCS Ranking: 2; Coaches Poll: 2; AP Poll: 2; Last Week: Won vs. #11 UCLA 42-14

Yes, this game really was tied late in the third and a TD game in the fourth before Oregon pulled away. That was a ballsy fake punt call by rookie headman Mark Helfrich in the first quarter.

Coming Up: 11/2: Idle; 11/7: @ #4 Stanford

(4) Stanford Cardinal (Previous Rank: 4); Record: 7-1 (5-1)

BCS Ranking: 5; Coaches Poll: 7; AP Poll: 6; Last Week: Won @ #25 Oregon State 20-12

RB Tyler Gaffney scored with seven seconds left in the first half and 52 seconds into the second half, meanwhile it took Sean Mannion 41 completions (57 passes) to throw for 271 yards.

Coming Up: 11/2: Idle; 11/7: vs. #3 Oregon

(5) Ohio State Buckeyes (Previous Rank: 5); Record: 8-0 (4-0)

BCS Ranking: 4; Coaches Poll: 4; AP Poll: 4; Last Week: Won vs. Penn State 63-14

With a 42-7 halftime lead the Buckeyes turned in their most dominating effort of the season and they want a seat at the table with the big boys of college football.

Coming Up: 11/2: @ Purdue; 11/9: Idle

(6) Clemson Tigers (Previous Rank: 6); Record: 7-1 (5-1)

BCS Ranking: 8; Coaches Poll: 8; AP Poll: 9; Last Week: Won @ Maryland 40-27

It was sloppy early, but the Tigers sobered up from their hangover to take a 40-20 lead over the Terps. If Maryland was healthy they might not have been so lucky.

Coming Up: 11/2: @ Virginia; 11/9: Idle

(7) Miami Hurricanes (Previous Rank: 7); Record: 7-0 (3-0)

BCS Ranking: 7; Coaches Poll: 6; AP Poll: 7; Last Week: Won vs. Wake Forest 24-21

I believe the ‘Canes are a fugaze top-10 team so expect a blowout against the Seminoles on Saturday. They’ll get the opportunity to prove doubters wrong in Tallahassee.

Coming Up: 11/2: @ #2 Florida State; 11/9: vs. Virginia Tech

(8) LSU Tigers (Previous Rank: 9); Record: 7-2 (3-2)

BCS Ranking: 13; Coaches Poll: 13; AP Poll: 11; Last Week: Won vs. Furman 48-16

The score was 20-16 at the half before the Bayou Bengals opened it up the second half. Junior WR Odell Beckham had six receptions for 204 yards (34 YPC) and two scores.

Coming Up: 11/2: Idle; 11/9: @ #1 Alabama

(9) Baylor Bears (Previous Rank: 10); Record: 7-0 (4-0)

BCS Ranking: 6; Coaches Poll: 5; AP Poll: 6; Last Week: Won @ Kansas 59-14

Seven different Bears had at least 43 receiving yards and five had over 50 receiving yards, including 110 yards by Tevin Reese (33-824-8), who’s season low is 75 yards.

Coming Up: 11/2: Idle; 11/7: vs. #16 Oklahoma

(10) Auburn Tigers (Previous Rank: 13); Record: 7-1 (3-1)

BCS Ranking: 11; Coaches Poll: 11; AP Poll: 8; Last Week: Won vs. Florida Atlantic 45-10

With starting QB Nick Marshall injured early, the Tigers didn’t miss a beat thanks to freshman Jeremy Johnson who connected on TD passes of 36 and 67 yards to Sammie Coates.

Coming Up: 11/2: @ Arkansas; 11/9: @ Tennessee
