After a fairly brutal heat wave here in New York City, tonight’s low temperatures will be a welcome change to many of us (and may also help save on the air conditioning bill).

Currently this Wednesday afternoon, the temperature is 82 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with winds from the northwest at 11 mph. Over the next few hours, expect the sky to remain partly cloudy with temperatures slowly falling to near 73 degrees. Tonight, the evening’s partly cloudy skies will become overcast overnight as we hit a cool low of about 64 degrees. There is a 10 percent chance of precipitation.

Thursday will again see lower temperatures, with cloudy skies early and a few showers developing later in the day. The day’s high will be near 75 degrees, and the chance of rain is 30 percent. For Thursday night, expect showers in the evening, then cloudy overnight, with a low of 66 degrees.
