What Shoppers Should Know Before Black Friday

2019-11-18 01:59:33

Black Friday, is the day after Thanksgiving—Friday, November 29. To prepare for the busiest shopping day of the year, Business Insider has tips on red flags that shoppers should steer clear of. They include: 1. Don't fall for early offers. Deals could be better on Black Friday. 2. Make sure you closely monitor store hours. An expert says "Some stores only give you a one- to two-hour window to come claim a door-buster, so you need to be in line on time." 3. Pay close attention to delivery-related emails and texts. Some of them may not be legitimate or actually come from trusted vendors. 4. Don't fall victim to unusually high discounts. Do your research beforehand. Bethany Hollars, content director of the online deals website BrickSeek.com, says "Gather the pricing info on your must-buy items several weeks ahead of time so that you have an accurate foundation to determine whether something is really a good deal."
