2019-11-14 00:31:37

Arctic conditions are to blame for at least four deaths, and the weather is only expected to get worse. Arctic air has been moving across the eastern two-thirds of the United States, bringing frigid temps and snow. About 70% of the US population is expected to see temperatures at or below freezing. "Freeze warnings continue into the Deep South, with freezing temperatures in Florida this morning," CNN meteorologist Dave Hennen The bitter cold peaked in the morning, when at 7:45 a.m. ET more than 232 million people were in areas 32 degrees or lower. According to CNN, hundreds of low-temperature records were set across the country. The deep freeze is continuing to wreak havoc on travel and has contributed to at least five deaths.
