A strong earthquake shook the Greek capital Athens on Friday, sending terrified people rushing into the street. The 5.1 magnitude tremor struck 14 miles northwest of the capital, according to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics. According to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics, the area has since experienced seven aftershocks, with the largest measuring 3.1 .Residents said the quake was strong but short and described televisions shaking and objects falling from bookshelves. According to CNN, there were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage to property.
