2019-07-11 11:43:471 Oct 2018 01:53 AM EST

7-Eleven started giving away free Slurpees in 2002 in honor of their birthday and the celebration has been going strong ever since! Customers can grab a free Slurpee on Thursday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The convenience store chain plans to give away 9 million free Slurpees across the U.S. on their special day. And if you go gaga for the slushee drink, you can also redeem a free Slurpee cupon on the chain's app, and even get a third free Slurpee if you order 7-Eleven delivery via the chain's 7NOW app. 7-Eleven is introducing a new Slurpee flavor on Thursday: Blueberry Lemonade. They are also kicking off $1 hot dogs, pizza slices, Cherry Slurpee cookies, and Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders. Joe DePinto, CEO of 7-Eleven adds, "Since inventing convenience retailing in 1927, 7-Eleven has continued innovating on behalf of customers for more than 92 years."
