Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar announced a new plan to provide resources for America’s public school teachers and students. Klobuchar made the announcement at a forum in Houston, Texas, held by the National Education Association. Houston is home to the largest teacher's union in the U.S. and Klobuchar and her rivals are working to get the support of teachers’ union, says Reuters. If elected president, Klobuchar’s would initiate a “Progress Partnership” plan. The plan would seek to provide federal funds for states that pledge to take, or have already taken, certain actions regarding their schools.
