Reuters reports thousands of demonstrators stood outside in thunderstorms in Hong Kong on Tuesday to continue protests against a proposed extradition bill that would allow people to be sent to mainland China for trial. Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam said she would not back down away from the bill. The protests mark the biggest political demonstration since Hong Kong's transfer from British to Chinese rule in 1997. Prominent business leaders have warned that the law could undermine investor confidence in Hong Kong.
