The US Department of Homeland Security has a concern about Chinese-made drones. The data they can collect could land in the hands of the Chinese government, says Business Insider. An alert was sent out Monday saying Chinese-made drones have the ability to share information and data. All of which can be sent to a server that isn't exclusively controlled by the drone manufacturer. Information such as flight and operations data could reveal where, when, who, and why a drone is being used. The alert suggests Chinese drone companies could be forced to share data collected from their drones in the US. The Chinese drone manufacturer DJI holds up to an 80% majority of the drone market share in North America.
