British PM May Urges Lawmakers To Support Her Plan For An Orderly Brexit

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Theresa May fought to win support for her plans for an orderly Brexit, urging skeptical Conservative Party members to vote for her deal or risk not leaving the bloc at all. Just hours before a vote on the deal in parliament, May reportedly failed to win over the main Brexit faction in her own party, while Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party, which supports her minority government, also said that it would vote against her. Nonetheless, Reuters reports that May defended her plan as a good deal compared to a number of unattractive alternatives.
