Some Amazon employees are reportedly suffering from severe emotional distress on the job. The Daily Beast reported that emergency services were called to different Amazon warehouses around the US at least 189 times between October 2013 and October 2018 to respond to workers' "suicide attempts, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health episodes." An Amazon spokesperson told Business Insider that the company offers employees "comprehensive medical care starting on day one so employees have access to the care when they need it most."
