According to a report by Business Insider, Brazil's new president contracted pneumonia while recovering in the hospital from an operation related to a life-threatening stab wound he sustained on the campaign trail in September of last year. President Jair Boldonaro reportedly developed the condition while recovering from an operation last week to remove a colostomy bag that was fitted after he was stabbed. Business Insider reports that Presidential spokesman Otávio do Rêgo Barros said that it remains unclear whether Bolsonaro will have to stay in the hospital longer due to the pneumonia.
