According to a report by Gizmodo, late last year, the US government accidentally revealed that a sealed complaint had been filed against Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks. Portions of leaked, sealed transcripts reportedly implicate Wikileaks and Assange in directing hackers to target governments and corporations. While the charges against Assange have not been officially revealed, Gizmodo suggests that its plausible that they are related to Russian hacking and the DNC emails. Gizmodo also suggests that regardless of what the charges against Assange are, the government is in possession of terabytes of data that could help it form a case, data that reportedly comes from Wikileaks supporters, sources, key personnel, and Assange himself.
