Reuters reports China’s Vice President Wang Qishan is urging for dialogue and consultations for healthy bilateral relations with the United States. China’s Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday Qishan said the two countries should respect each other’s sovereignty, security and development interests. His comments came during a reception to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. U.S. and Chinese officials concluded three days of talks in Beijing this week in attempts to come to an agreement to end the trade war between the countries.
