As politicians begin their campaigns for the 2020 presidential election, Instagram Live is seeing a major surge in usage. Business Insider reports Democrats and Republicans young and old have taken to the social media platform to answer questions from voters. Potential 2020 presidential candidate and former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke has been known to avidly use Instagram, and political veterans like Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown are also using the app to talk to supporters. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren also recently used the platform to reiterate her announcement that she had launched an exploratory committee to run for president in 2020.
