France's 'Yellow Vest' Protesters Vandalized 60% of France's Speed Cameras

According to CNN, around two-thirds of fixed speed cameras in France have been vandalized by yellow-vest protesters since November. Demonstrators are revolting against lowered speed limits that the government introduced last year. The head of France's road safety agency said the vandalism will result in deaths on the road. Some devices have been completely destroyed from being burnt, while others have been spray-painted or covered in film. Those found guilty of vandalizing or destroying speed cameras face fines of up to 75,000 euros and prison sentences of up to five years.
