According to Reuters, stocks around the world had a fourth consecutive day of gains. On Jan. 9th, MSCI's all country world index rose 1-percent on the day, as markets in Europe and the US continue to rally. In Europe, the Stoxx 600 index closed about half a percent higher, while Germany's DAX index gained about eight-tenths of a percent. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained about 91-points on the day, rising to 23,879. The Nasdaq Composite added 60-points on the day, while the S&P 500 rose about 10-points. But oil prices soared on the day, with West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude gained over $2 each.
