A Nissan Motor Co panel has failed to nominate a successor to Carlos Ghosn as chairman in the wake of his arrest and dismissal. Last month, Ghosn was arrested in Tokyo for alleged financial misconduct, says Reuters. Nissan has tasked a three-member panel of external directors with the selection of a new chairman to place Ghosn. The panel is expected to submit the name of a nominee at a board meeting on Dec. 17. Any changes to the board must then be approved by shareholders as well.
