According to CNN, about 100 people's cremated remains are expected to be launched into space on Monday in a memorial satellite provided by the company Elysium Space. The San Francisco-based company says that families had to pay about $2,500 to have a sample of their loved ones' ashes placed aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Some of the remains traveling into space will be that of military veterans and aerospace enthusiasts, along with those whose families were "looking to celebrate a loved one within the poetry of the starry sky."
