According to Reuters, Hurricane Michael intensified before making landfall in the Florida Panhandle.
Now a category 4 hurricane, forecasters said the storm grew in strength overnight.
The US National Hurricane Center added the storm now has maximum sustained winds of 155 miles-per-hour.
Hurricane Michael is located about 20 miles southeast of Panama City, and hasn't made full landfall.
But the storm's eyewall reached the shore of Florida between St. Vincent Island and Panama City by the afternoon on Oct. 10th.
