Hurricane Florence crashed into the Carolinas on Friday, knocking down trees and swamping streets. Now the storm has slowed to a pace that will plague the area with days of flooding, says Reuters. At a news conference, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said, "It's going to get worse." The hurricane has already brought a "wall of water" to the town of New Bern. Gov. Cooper warned North Carolina residents in the storm's path to "please stay sheltered in place.”
