150 individuals are trapped by Hurricane Florence's flood waters in the city of New Bern, North Carolina,
Civil authorities are urging people to get to high points in their homes to await rescue efforts.
According to Business Insider, the city had previously issued an evacuation order.
Hurricanes endanger those with limited mobility or means, as they are less able to heed evacuation warnings.
The continued intense weather may hamper FEMA’s efforts while the storm remains strong.
