According to Refinery29, Donald Trump’s tweets about Puerto Rico’s Maria Death Toll at his worst gaslighting yet. Despite overwhelming evidence proving at least 2,975 people died in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, President Donald Trump has chosen to sully the memory of those U.S. citizens in a series of tweets in which he rejected scientific research and his own government's assessment. The tweets come just before the one-year mark of Hurricane Maria barreling through Puerto Rico as a Category 4 storm, becoming one of the worst natural disasters the United States has seen in recent history.
