According to Reuters, the affects of Hurricane Florence are already being felt by residents along the Carolina coast.
At least 19,000 homes and businesses from Virginia to North Carolina, and down to South Carolina are without electricity.
Expected to make landfall within the next day, Hurricane Florence is currently a category 2 storm, with maximum sustained winds of 105 miles-per-hour.
Duke Energy Corp., which is the largest utility in the area, estimated the storm could cause power outages for 1 million to 3 million.
But Duke Energy is preparing to get power restored, with more than 20,000 personnel on hand.
