Manafort Tentatively Agrees To Plea Deal With Mueller

According to Reuters, Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort has tentatively agreed to a plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The deal is expected to be announced on Friday, but it remains unclear whether Manafort has also agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. Next week on Monday, jury selection is scheduled to begin in Manafort’s second federal trial on charges including conspiring to launder money, conspiring to defraud the U.S., failing to register as a foreign agent and witness tampering. He was also convicted last month at a trial in Virginia of charges including bank and tax fraud.
