The US State Department says despite 'concerning' developments in Gaza, Israel has a right to defend itself. Reuters reports Israeli aircraft struck more than 150 targets in Gaza on Wednesday night. Palestinian militants fired scores of rockets, including a long-range missile, deep into Israel. Despite truce talks to avert an all-out conflict, fighting continues to escalate.
