The U.S. has faced an increase in obesity over the years with sugar being the main culprit to weight gain. According to Business Insider, around the world people approach healthy eating in a variety of ways. In Argentina people drink an antioxidant-rich Yerba mate tea to keep their appetite in check. In the Middle East, people eat a lot of hummus, which is protein-packed, fiber-rich and high in iron. Brazil has been eating acai berries, a great source of antioxidants and fiber, before it became popular in the U.S.
