According to CNN, Roger Federer lost during the Wimbledon quarterfinals against Kevin Anderson.
The tall South African triumphed over the Swiss defending champion in a four hour and fourteen minute match.
Ranked second in the world, Federer has not lost at Wimbledon since the 2016 semifinals against Milos Raonic.
But the 6'8'' Anderson overcame a two-set deficit, holding off Federer's match point in the third set.
An eighth seed at Wimbledon, Anderson is ranked seventh in the world as he heads to the semifinals.
