According to CNN, the Trump administration is readying another round of tariffs on Chinese goods worth $200 billion. A list of additional goods that could face 10% tariffs after a public comment period was released on Tuesday. The move comes after the United States already imposed tariffs on Chinese goods worth $34 billion last Friday. President Donald Trump made a threat last month, and Tuesday's action makes good on it. The president had threatened $200 billion in Chinese goods for tariffs if China retaliated against US penalties meant to punish China for intellectual property theft. This third wave of tariffs would go into effect sometime after August 30.
