Kroger confirmed on Monday that a $250 coupon featured on social media is a scam. The grocery retailer released a statement saying "There is currently an unauthorized '$250 Kroger Shopping Coupon' circulating across social media. This giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by the Kroger Company." According to Business Insider, it is not yet clear how many customers have been impacted by the fake coupon, however, Kroger's Facebook post had been shared over 30,000 times as of Tuesday morning. The counterfeit coupon, which features Kroger's official logo, offers shoppers $250 to spend in its stores.
