On Tuesday, a federal judge extended an order preventing the eviction of hundreds of Puerto Rican families who fled the hurricane ravaged island following Hurricane Maria, and have been living in hotels and motels across the United States. Reuters reports that US District Judge Timothy Hillman signed the order which bars the federal government from cutting off housing assistance for three weeks. The ruling by Hillman extended another temporary restraining order issued on Saturday that instructed FEMA to extend the assistance program until July 5th.
