A new blood test predicts the long-term risk of a heart attack and death among those with severe coronary artery disease. Such patients are more likely to die or have a heart attack within 10 years if they have high levels of enzyme ACE2. Australian researcher Dr. Louise Burrell says the ACE2 test could be offered to all CAD patients. According to UPI, CAD is the most common type of heart disease in the United States. Killing more than 370,000 people annually, it's the leading cause of death of Americans.
