A veteran Justice Department litigator has resigned in protest.
Politico reports Joel McElvain resigned over a Trump admin move to weaken the ACA.
The DOJ asked that Obamacare's guaranteed-issue and community-rating provisions be declared unconstitutional.
The brief has been sharply criticized by many Obamacare supporters and even some opponents of the law.
Just before it was filed, McElvain and two other career attorneys filed a motion to withdraw from the case.
