Survivors of at least three recent high school shootings laid silently in front of the US Capitol today. The activists held the protest before taking over the offices of Senators Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell. "We aren’t just fading into the background because it’s summertime. We’re still here and this problem is still a huge thing,"- Mollie Davis, 18. Protestors commemorated the two year anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub massacre. Parkland graduate Matt Deitsch addressed the crowd prior to the twelve-minute die -in. Buzzfeed News reports that Protests were also held in Florida, just across from President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
