According to Deadspin, three weeks after being traded to Oakland by the New York Jets, former second-round NFL draft pick Christian Hackenberg has been waived by the Raiders. The Raiders only agreed to give up a conditional 2019 seventh-round pick in exchange for Hackenberg, but since he was cut in under a month, they will now get to keep it. This is turn means the Jets will wind up with exactly nothing to show for their wasted pick on the former Penn State quarterback.
