Pope Francis is joining the movement to taking the necessary steps for a greener planet. According to the Huffington Post Pope Francis urged oil and gas executives to develop alternative energy. During a closed-door session at the Vatican the Pope said fossil fuels are a threat to humanity. The Pope said: “Civilization requires energy, but energy use must not destroy civilization.” Although the Pope praised business leaders for reducing their emissions he said they need new forms of energy.
