Credit card debt can be overwhelming and stressful and the journey to being debt-free isn't always a straight path. To keep yourself on track, it takes vigilance and adaptability. As you're working to pay off your debt it's important to reward yourself at certain milestones. To start with, it can help to pay off your highest balance. Once that gets to a reasonable amount you might want to switch your focus to targeting the debt you have with the highest interest rate. One thing to help with this is a balance-transfer credit card. This allows you to move a portion of your debt onto a new card without having to pay interest for a set amount of time. Once you reach a point where you're actually debt-free celebrate by letting close friends and families know about your accomplishment. This will be a much better reward than going out and spending more money.
