A police officer at an Illinois high school shot and wounded an armed male suspect on Wednesday morning. The suspect shot first at the officer at Dixon High School before the officer returned fire. Dixon City Manager Danny Langloss said in a statement that the suspect’s wounds were not life-threatening and that no one else was hurt. The suspect was in police custody following the incident. It was not clear whether the suspect was a student at the school. Langloss said police believe the suspect acted alone and that there was no further threat.
