The US Supreme Court strike down a federal law, paving the way for states to legalize gambling on sports.
The ruling strikes down a federal law from 1992 that prohibits sports betting in most states, except Nevada, and parts of .Delaware, Montana and Oregon.
The Supreme Court strike down the federal law by upholding a more recent state law from New Jersey, which passed in 2014.
New Jersey's law permitted sports betting at casinos and horse racetracks, which violated with federal law.
