Why 'Birds Of Prey' Bombed

2020-02-14 01:25:481 Oct 2018 01:53 AM EST

"Birds of Prey" opened below studio and analyst expectations over the weekend with $33 million. The film's full title is "Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)" "Birds of Prey" is rated R. It was slammed by comic book movie fans for being too "feminist" and "anti-male." It stars a cast of unknown characters (besides Harley Quinn), so expectations should better reflect that. Theaters are now listing the movie under a new title of "Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey." Warner Bros. told Business Insider the change is only a theatrical listing and not an official title change.
