show at the upcoming American Music Awards. The 29-year-old pop-star is set to receive the “Artist of the Decade” award at the show, but told fans on Twitter that the performance, along with other projects may be in jeopardy. She tweeted “Right now my performance at the AMAs, the Netflix documentary and any other recorded events I am planning to play until November 2020 are a question mark.” Taylor claims that music executives are "exercising 'tyrannical control' over her music," in a fight to gain ownership over her music. She points the finger at Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun, saying that they "would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year.” Braun bought the Nashville-based record company founded by Borchetta, which owns the master recordings of Swift’s past songs. Swift added on Twitter "The message being sent to me is very clear...Basically be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished.”
