Lady Gaga To Star In New Gucci Murder Film

2019-11-04 10:50:27

Lady Gaga is fresh from her Oscar-win for Best Original Song in the musical drama "A Star is Born." According to CNN, the 33-year-old singer-turned-actress has signed up for another feature film. Gaga is teaming up with veteran filmmaker, Ridley Scott, who is behind box office hits like "Alien," "Blade Runner," and "Gladiator." Scott plans to bring the assassination of Maurizio Gucci, the former head of Gucci fashion house, to the big screen. Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, will play Gucci's ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of orchestrating his assassination. The film's script is based a book written by Sara Gay Forden: "The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed." In her Oscar acceptance speech Gaga said, "I have worked hard for a long time and it's not about, you know, winning, but what it's about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it."
