Lori Loughlin, Husband Face New Charges In College Admissions Scandal

2019-10-23 01:49:22

HuffPost reports 'Fuller House' actress Lori Loughlin was indicted on new bribery charges Tuesday. She's among the 11 parents charged as part of this year's massive college admissions scandal. The 11 defendants are accused of bribing employees of USC to secure their children’s admission. Loughlin, along with her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli, are among the most famous people indicted in the scandal. They're accused of paying $500K to get their daughters into USC by faking their qualifications for the university’s rowing team. Last week, the parents were warned to plead guilty to the fraud and money laundering conspiracy charges they were already faced. If not, they could be slapped with bribery charges as well. Seven university athletic officials from various schools were also indicted Tuesday on charges of committing federal program bribery.
