Popeyes spicy chicken sandwiches recently launched in stores all over the U.S. and many places sold out already. The Cajun-inspired fast food chicken chain caused a lot of commotion on social media over their new item. It all began with its rival Chick-fil-A posting a subtle tweet saying they’re “the original” chicken sandwich. Their response to them gained more than 85,000 retweets and 300.000 likes, making their online engagement surge. According to Reuters, other fast food chains like Wendy’s and Bojangles’ also joined in the playful banter.
