For years, naturists have promoted the practice of visiting a 'sit-spot."
Now, Mother Nature Network reports doctors are recommending the same thing!
A sit-spot routine is the simple practice of visiting a spot in nature 3-4 times a week, and sitting there.
It needs to be safe, close to your home, and have some animal activity to watch.
Once seated, turn off your phone! Then, sit quietly, noticing what your senses are telling you.
What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell? Sit for about fifteen minutes.
It may take some time to select just the right sit-spot and build the habit of visiting.
But once that initial effort is invested, you'll reap the healthy rewards of bringing nature back into your life.
