Don’t underestimate the music power of Ariana Grande and Drake. Both artists topped Spotify’s 2018 most streamed artists list and together, they’ve generated more than 11 billion streams this year. On Tuesday, Spotify announced its top artists, songs, playlists, and podcasts of 2018 in a press release. In its annual “Wrapped” roundup, Spotify shared streaming statistics for each category above and other notable music trends, including 2018’s rising genre, the top K-Pop song, and the top 10 Latin artists on the platform. More than 48 million listeners played Grande’s music on a monthly basis, and major hits, including her latest single, “thank u, next,” generated more than 220 million streams.
