As bad as many issues are that we have seen emerge from the Donald Trump administration, there might not be anything worse than the pictures and stories of children separated from their parents and in cages. It's truly horrifying. And this is an issue that the citizens of this country aren't willing to let slide and wait for an election to get rid of those responsible. They want the administration to pay now for what they have done to these children.

This led to a group of protesters confronting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in Louisville, Kentucky, as he was leaving a restaurant on Saturday. They pursued him, berated him, and even threatened to visit his home.

And this wasn't the first time. It was the second time his private life has been upset with a protest and was after a week of confrontations between Republicans regarding the immigration issue.

"If the Leader comments on being called a fascist and a supporter of ICE by a small handful of extremist protesters, then I will let you know," David Popp, McConnell's spokesman, wrote to The Washington Post following the protest.

While he was lunching at Bristol Bar & Gille on Saturday, hundreds were protesting outside the ICE office in Louisville, just a few miles away. Someone spotted the Leader and called for help to confront him, with word spreading on social media.

At least six people, some with cameras, waited in front of the restaurant, wanting to get their shot with McConnell. He walked out with two other people who had lunch with him.

"Vote you out, vote you out!" the crowd chanted. "Where are the children?" another asked, while someone also shouted, "Go home!"

The lunch buddies didn't stop and just continued walking. They made their way into a parking lot while a woman tried blocking their path. She walked in front of them with the rest following behind.

"Where are the babies, Mitch?" they continued. "Turtle head!"

According to the Democratic Socialists of Louisville, three of their members were in the crowd, but they had nothing to do with calling McConnell, "Turtle head." A short time later the same man shouted, "We know where you live, too, Mitch!"

"This person is not a DSA member, nor do we know who he is or what he meant by that statement," said the group in an email."

As the Leader and the other two men were seated into an SUV, the crowd continued chanting. "Abolish ICE!" "No justice, no peace!" The man who referred to McConnell as "Turtle head" shouted, "No comfort for fascists!"

As McConnell's group left, a red convertible was behind the protesters and said to the group, "Let them live their lives. It's none of your f---ing business."

The protesters made their point. If children are eating their lunches in cages, it's hard to see a lawmaker who supports the current administration dining casually at a restaurant with friends.
