In Washington lawmakers have expressed great concern that President Donald Trump may try to fire Robert Mueller, the special counsel assigned to investigating possible collusion and wrongdoing between the Trump Presidential campaign and Russia. Trump has already fired the former FBI director James Comey which raises concern for the future of Mueller. Trump was asked on Monday what his plans were for Mueller, “We’ll see what happens. Many people have said, ‘you should fire him.’” Trump has repeatedly reiterated that he has the power to fire Mueller if he so chooses but many legal scholars disagree contending that "a special counsel can only be subject to firing for a valid legal reason."
